Welcome — this site is the portfolio of Stacy Hsu. By using stacyhsu.com you agree to the terms below. They exist mostly to say one thing clearly: the artwork here is my livelihood, and looking is free but using it isn’t.
The artwork is protected
Every illustration, painting, pattern, photograph, and piece of writing on this site is © Stacy Hsu (or is used with permission of the client who commissioned it) and is protected by copyright law. Nothing on this site may be reproduced, downloaded, printed, distributed, sold, incorporated into other work, used to train machine-learning models, or used in any other way without my prior written permission.
If you’d like to license a piece — for products, publishing, packaging, or anything else — I’d love to hear from you: the licensing library shows what’s available, and the contact form is the way in.
Permitted use
You’re welcome to browse the site, share links to it, and show it to anyone who might enjoy it. Sharing a page on social media using the site’s own links and previews is always fine.
Purchases
Originals, prints, and products are sold at shop.stacyhsu.com, which runs on Shopify under its own terms of sale, shipping, and return policies. Fine-art inquiries made through this site’s contact form are invitations to discuss a sale, not a sale itself.
No warranties
The site is provided as-is. I work to keep everything accurate and available, but I can’t promise the site will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and project descriptions may be simplified for storytelling.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stacy Hsu is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use this site — which is nothing.
External links
The site links to other sites — the shop, publications, social media. Those sites have their own terms and policies, and I’m not responsible for their content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
