Sooty Grouse Fine Art Giclee Print

A male sooty grouse on a ground of huckleberry. In spring he inflates the bare patches on his neck and hoots from high in a conifer—a sound that carries half a mile and is almost impossible to walk toward.

Part of a series pairing a single Olympic Peninsula animal with the plants it actually lives among.
